CBSE Date Sheet 2027 – Latest Update
The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations for the 2026–27 academic session will be conducted in 2027. However, the subject-wise final timetable has not yet been officially published by CBSE.
CBSE’s official website is the most reliable source for checking the latest examination notifications and date sheet updates. The Board has already started activities related to the 2026–27 examination session, including prior intimation regarding submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X and Class XII.
Students should check the official CBSE portal regularly once the examination schedule is announced.
The exact subject-wise dates for Class 10 and Class 12 should be considered confirmed only after CBSE publishes the official notification or PDF.
Until then, students can use the expected examination window only for broad study planning and should not treat unofficial dates as final.

One of the major changes affecting Class 10 students is the Two Board Examinations system.
CBSE decided to implement the two-board-examination policy for Class 10 from the 2026 examinations. Under the framework, the first board examination is mandatory, while eligible students can use the second examination as an opportunity for improvement.
According to the CBSE notification, students can appear for improvement in up to three subjects among the specified subjects, subject to the conditions laid down by the Board.
Therefore, Class 10 students appearing in 2027 should carefully follow the latest CBSE rules rather than relying on information from older examination patterns.

Expected CBSE Exam Dates 2027
At present, CBSE has not officially announced the subject-wise dates for the 2027 Board Examinations.
Students may see various expected schedules online, but these should be treated only as estimates until CBSE releases the official timetable.
For reference, CBSE’s 2026 examination schedule shows that the Board planned its main Class 10 and Class 12 examinations from February onward. CBSE also released a separate schedule for the Class 10 second board examination.
This previous schedule can help students understand the general examination cycle, but it should not be used as the confirmed 2027 timetable.
CBSE Class 10 Second Board Examination
The Class 10 second board examination is an important part of the revised CBSE examination framework.
CBSE’s policy states that students appear for the first board examination and eligible students can subsequently use the second examination for improvement, subject to the conditions prescribed by the Board.
The exact dates, registration requirements and other operational details for the 2027 examination should be checked through the official CBSE notification when released.
What Students Should Do Before the Date Sheet Is Released
Students do not need to wait for the final date sheet before starting serious preparation.
You can begin by:
1. Complete the Syllabus
Try to finish the prescribed syllabus well before the examination period. This will give you enough time for revision and practice.
2. Prepare a Subject-Wise Study Plan
Divide your available study time between difficult chapters, important concepts and regular revision.
3. Practice Previous Year Questions
Solving previous-year questions can help you understand the type of questions asked in board examinations and improve time management.
4. Attempt Sample Papers
Sample papers can help students practise writing complete answers within the prescribed examination duration.
5. Keep Track of CBSE Updates
The examination schedule, practical examination instructions, admit-card information and other notices may be released separately. Therefore, students should regularly check official CBSE notifications.
CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Tentative vs Official Dates
There is an important difference between an expected date sheet and the official date sheet.
Tentative or Expected Date Sheet
An expected schedule is based on previous examination patterns, available information or predictions made by educational websites. It can change and should not be treated as final.
Official CBSE Date Sheet
The official timetable is the schedule published by CBSE through its official communication channels. Students should use this version when planning their final revision schedule and examination preparation.
This distinction is especially important because examination dates can sometimes be changed for administrative reasons. For example, CBSE revised certain Class 10 and Class 12 examination dates during the 2026 examination cycle.
CBSE Board Exam Timing 2027
The exact examination timing for each subject will be mentioned in the official 2027 date sheet.
Students should not assume that every paper will necessarily have identical duration or timing. The official timetable and admit card should be checked carefully for the applicable examination time.
On the examination day, students should reach the centre sufficiently early and follow all instructions issued by CBSE and their school.
Important Things to Check in the CBSE Date Sheet
After downloading the PDF, students should verify:
- Examination date
- Day of the examination
- Subject name
- Subject code
- Examination timing
- Paper duration
- Practical/project-related information, wherever applicable
- Instructions issued by CBSE
- Any subsequent corrigendum or revised schedule
Keeping a printed copy of the final date sheet can also make revision planning easier.
